Disney famous mouse will be taking a financial blow with California Senator Jack Scott Senate Bill SB 1499. Disney, which licenses its famous cartoon characters to manufactures, will be looking for new ways to get its’ famous mouse included in kids-themed Disney birthday parties in California. Senator Scott’s SB 1499 Bill will ban Mickey Mouse in the form of a Mylar balloon and force Disney fans to purchase balloons illegally from out-of-state vendors. This bill has a rippling effect that will influence revenue in all party stores, retails, and anybody who normally resells licensed TV and movie characters for themed birthday parties. Senator Scott’s bill would make it illegal for companies to sell Indiana Jones, Cars, Dora, Sesame Street, Thomas, big inflatable numbers balloons, along with Disney – Pixar’s newest character Wall-E by preventing sales of Mylar balloons in California.
