Top 10 Resource for Balloon Entertainers
Over the past year I have been compiling resource information for the mbd2.com resource center and after reviewing that list, I have complied my top 10 list of balloon entertainers resources that entertainers should checkout. The list consists of balloon forum, manufactures, and educational resources.
- mbd2.com Forum – A free forum with 100’s of topics for beginners to advanced balloon twisters. The site is 90% free, with 10% closed, until you make a donation. This is the second oldest balloon forum with members from around the world started in 2003 by Dale Obrochta .The main topic is balloon twisting, but focuses on entertainment and professionalism.
- BalloonHQ.com – A subscription based news thread for professional balloon decorators and twisters. This is the oldest balloon news thread created by Larry Moss in 1998. It contains 1,000’s of photos, individual galleries, and a wealth of information about all types of balloons. This site is divided into two categories – balloon twisting and balloon decorating.
- YouTube – You can find amateur video to professional quality balloon animal instructions. It has an ever growing list of entertainers and hobbyists who contribute to YouTube and is fast becoming a main resource for balloon animal instructions.
- mbd2.com Recourse Center A compiling of listing for manufacturers, distributors, conventions, supplies, blogs, video links that is continuously growing.
- Entertainers Toolbar – A free down-loadable toolbar that has all the links to important websites, forums, conventions, and manufactures. The purpose of the Entertainers toolbar is to keep critical information and resources at the fingers tips of entertainers.
- Balloon-Animals Forum – A free forum dealing with basic balloon animals designs and entertainment. This is a newer forum which started 2-years ago by Micheal Floyd in 2007.
- BalloonChat.CO.UK – A free forum for United Kingdom balloon twisters, started by Graham Lee in 2007. However, many US twisters participate in this forum.
- Mbd2.com 100 Articles in October – Ten professional entertainers wrote educational articles about their particular field and experiences. Articles covering basic balloon twisting to advanced corporate entertainment marketing.
- Betallic – Balloon manufacture that has monthly balloon contest.
- Qualatex – Balloon manufacture which created the Certificate Balloon Artists (CBA). A certification typically held by balloon decorators.
