“In days long along, I would just post a new webpage, but with all the social media outlets, blogs and news feeds, it is difficult to get your message out there,” says Obrochta. For years now, he has been implementing technology to help automate getting new photos, stories, and articles that he has produced to the general public and fans.
Recently, Obrochta has mapped his entire social media distribution and implemented a new RSS feeder to help distribute the six blogs, 1 article website, Twitter, Google Buzz, LinkedIn, press releases, etc. “It’s a maze of lines all over the place,” says Obrochta, but he feels the time invested in strategically planning his media distribution is well worth it in the long run.
Presently, you can see the results of hours of planning and organizing with the distribution of information pouring into four different Facebook Fan Pages. Each page receives different data for each specific profile, giving readers a reason to follow while not ensuring data is not overlapped.
