Orland Hills, IL, September 4, 2008 – The Village of Deerfield, will celebrate Community Services Day – Saturday, September 6, 2007 – noon to 4:00 p.m. at Brickyards Park (Kates & Pfingsten) / Patty Turner Senior Center. (375 Elm). To help celebrate this event, they have hired Magical Balloon-dude Dale to provide roving balloon entertainment at this year’s event. This will be the fifth year that Dale has worked with the Village of Deerfield in providing roving balloon entertainment. Dale will be entertaining Village residents from noon to 4 p.m. with his comedic balloon twisting.
The Deerfield Park District is working with Bannockburn and Riverwoods Fire Protection District, Local Police departments, the Village of Deerfield, and the DBR Chamber of Commerce to organize, present, and host this family event.
Community Service Day will showcase local governmental agencies and clubs and the services they provide to the citizens of the community. This year demonstrations are by Deerfield Police Dogs Demo, Operation Lifesaver (railroad safety), Child I.D. (fingerprinting), Passenger/Child Safety Seat Checkpoint along with Flight for Life Helicopter, Residential Sprinkler Trailer, Kids/Firefighter Challenge Event, Operation 100 Smoke Alarm program, Auto Extrication Demo, County Special Response/Rescue Teams and other community activity.
This unique and fun family event is free to all residents- thanks to the generosity of event sponsor: Carr America and the support and efforts of the intergovernmental hosts.
Magical Balloon-dude Dale is a Master Balloonist; this balloon entertainer is not your normal dog-making, heart-giving, sword-handing, balloon animal-making entertainer.
