Midlothian Library Celebrates Spring Break With a Free Balloon Show

Art of Inflation Balloon Show with Dale Obrochta

Press Release

Fun Spring Break Activity at Midlothian Library

Parents search for fun activities to do with their kids during spring break and the Midlothian Library is solving this problem with a free balloon show called Art of Inflation.

Orland Hills, March 10th, 2016: The balloon show Art of Inflation will be happening at the Midlothian Public Library on April 4, 2016, at 2:30 PM. The library is accommodating the local community by offering this special program during Midlothian School District 143 week-long spring break.

“We are aware of our schools’ schedules and work hard to have great events on days that kids have no school,” says Katie Clausen, Head of Children’s Services at Midlothian Public Library.

This year the library is presenting Art of Inflation. This unique balloon show that choreographs balloon twisting to music with comedy twisted in makes it perfect for kids and adults. Colorful 4-foot long balloons twirl about and transform into works of art before the audience’s eyes. “A highlight of the show is a black light segment where the balloons glow, which is my favorite moment,” says professional balloon entertainer Dale Obrochta.

Obrochta has been performing since 1986 and has been a visual balloon interpreter for TEDxNaperville, appeared on WGN & WLS TV, and performed for numerous schools and libraries in Illinois and Indiana.

Midlothian Public Library will be offering events each month to local residents and encourages the families of the Village of Midlothian to use the library resources and participate in the library events. The library hours are: Monday thru Thursday, 9 AM – 8 PM; Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM; Saturday 9 AM – 4 PM; Closed Sunday
