New Balloon
Instructions

I have added two new balloon instructions to
the kids section. The balloon
instructions are on how to make a balloon ribbon. The first video will teach how to make the
breast cancer awareness pink ribbon out of 260 and 350 balloons. The second video teaches how to make the
support the troops yellow ribbon and how to make a patriotic red, white &
blue ribbon.

New Press Room Menu
-----------------
I have been working on a new press release menu
for the last couple of years. Yes, I
said years. It hasn’t been a big
priority but I finally arranged all 12 years of press releases into individual folders
and created a menu page for each year.
The old menu system was nice for the first couple of years but the slow
load time and the increase in press releases made it cumbersome for users. The
new menu will be easier for me to maintain, loads faster, and is easier to use.

is March's 2008 Member of the Month. Chris has recently joined the mbd2
community in October 2007, but over the past couple months has stepped up and
volunteered to help behind the sense with maintaining the balloon jam
calendar. Little things like that is what helps a community keep informed
and abreast of what is going on in the balloon industry.

Lost Checks Find Their Way Home
----------------
Over this past
holiday season I took a page out of my father’s business travel tips. As a National Sales Manager he would travel
around the United States and participate in trade shows. Periodically, customers
would make purchases and present him with a check. He told me “If you ever find yourself
traveling and have documents or checks that need to get back to the office and
you are afraid of losing them. Simply place the check in a self address stamped
envelope. This way if it falls out of
your pocket or it gets mislaid; most good Samaritans will simply drop it in the
mail.
This past 2007
holiday season I found myself working with multiple entertainers. Since I was
the main contact and checks where cut in my name I had to issue pay checks. To
insure I didn’t lose them I sealed each check in an envelope with the
entertainer mailing information. As dad said “If they get lost, there’s a good
chance it will be mailed”. Everything went as planned, but I felt safer knowing
that the checks had the ability to find their way home, if lost.

Forum Update – Testing
New Chat room
--------------
The testing of the
new chat room has been going quite well.
One drawback is getting use to the default setting. Since users have the options to change their
personal settings and save them, problems occur when somebody uses a black
background and then types in white while others have a white background and
cannot see what the person has typed. I
hope to find time to develop a standard default background that will work for
users entering the chat room for the first time. Thus, eliminating the background problem.
Other than this
minor problem, uses have been finding this chat room more reliable than the old
chat room.
