What started you in ballooning?

My twisted friends--I stumbled across a group of performers who practice at the local college. I was amazed by their talents. I learned how to juggle, stilt walk, unicycle ride, magic, bull whip, fence, gymnastics, devil sticks, and ballooning.

Where do you get your balloons?

You can pickup twisting balloons (260Q) at your local trick shop.

Do you use special balloons?

No, Qualatex is the only balloon to use for twisting.

Do I like ballooning?

I find ballooning fun and interesting. I like to see the amazement on a persons face when I create a balloon sculpture they requested, right in front of them--and their amazed when it looks just like what they requested. No imagination required!

How far do you travel?

Most of my travel is local, but if you got the money--I'll be there!

How do you get your ballooning jobs?

I work with entertainment agents, self promotion, word of mouth, press releases, and business cards. I work for 3 different restaurants where I pass out mucho business cards.

Do I do charity events?

No/Yes--I work for charity events that have hired me in the past. You hire me once, then call me for the freebies. I have to pay my bills too.

What is the most difficult balloon that I do?

This question is asked by kids all the time--and then they want that balloon. My standard answer is: The one I am working on. If the balloon breaks I have to start all over.

Are you an Artist?

I draw on almost every balloon, and I've gotten pretty good. But I tell people that I am not an artist. Artist are starving at some hotel with drawings they drew. (Get it... ha ha ..starving artist sale)

Do you belong to any organization?

I presently belong to World Clown Association.

What is your favorite character?

Warner Brothers characters are my favorite, because I grew up with them as a kid.

What is the most interesting place you have worked?

UNITED Center, Chicago Bulls opening games 1994, 1995, 1996, and 1997. Every time a world championship. GO BULLS! Worked 1998-99 games but not opening.
