January 2006 Update

It seam like a long time since I sent out a newsletter, but things have
been really hopping here. The new mbd2.com store is now up and running,
with new products and whole new look. The mbd2.com forum has changed and
is requires a donation to access the balloon instructions and chat room.
Band new to the mbd2.com site is an article section. This will have article
about entertainers, balloonist, jugglers, magicians, marketing tips, and
improving entertainment skills. I have been slowly preparing the site
for 2006 and looking forward to adding new pictures, instructions, and
more promotional material in the weeks to come. Thank you for your continuing
interest in mbd2.com and we look forward to an exciting 2006!

Forum Update

In November 2005 it was decided, due to cost that the mbd2.com forum would
have to charge some type of fee to help offset the increasing cost. It
was decided that voluntary donations would be accepted and in return donators
would be given access to the balloon instructions topics along with having
access to the chat room. All other features are still free.
With the increase of forum chat room users I had to create
more colors for users to select. These colors are used to show who is
talking in the chat room. Thirteen additional colors were added this month.
Small minor fixes have been corrected and as it stand
the mbd2.com forum is in full working order. Yah!

New Article Section

New to the mbd2.com web site is the addition of the mbd2.com article section.
The article section is a consortium of professional entertainers who are
publishing articles about various entertainment topics. Topics include
ballooning, magic, face painting, juggling, marketing, and entertainment
improvements all will be covered in these articles.
Holly Nagel will be writing the spotlight column which
will consist of interviewing professional entertainers from all entertainment
fields. Weekly profiles of forum members will consist of asking 30 Questions
- Fun & Factual. Come every Monday and learn more about the mbd2.com
forum members.
Along with the articles will be information about new
products, customers, and activities that mbd2.com will be participating
in 2006. If you have a feed reader you can stay abreast of all articles,
forum posts, and Magical Balloon-Dude Dales press releases by adding mbd2.com

Entertainers Tip 33

Each year people make New Years resolutions about losing weight, stop
smoking, workout more, and the list goes on. Each year I think about what
I want to improve in my entertaining…clothing, balloon designs,
marketing material, what do I need to do to get to the next level? I keep
it simple and achievable and work on getting it done.
Start with something simple like sending thank you cards
after each performance or take more pictures for marketing material. Working
on weaknesses will help you improve as an entertainer.
One way to stay on track is to tell people what you’re
going to improve. Now if your like me and don’t like to be embarrassed
you will work to achieve these goals just to keep face.
Better to improve then fail, it takes only a little work,
but over time you can achieve a lot.
