Forum Update

Balloon Jam Calendar - What to attend a balloon jam, but not sure where it’s at? New mapping location feature is now included in the mbd2.com balloon jam calendar. When users provide full location address the program will now generate a link to Googles mapping program that maps the location plus gives driving directions. A really cool Google feature is an aerial map showing balloon jam location from space.

Note: Nine balloon jams are scheduled this month. Check out the calendar in the balloon forum, bottom right corner.

Member of the Month – Each month I will be choosing a member of the forum to be Member of the Month. The individual receives nothing but support and accolades from fellow forum members. A special parking privilege has been reserved for Member of the Months which place the members’ avatar on the front page of the forum with a link to their profile.

The 1st Member of the Month (April) was Patrick Van De Ven. Patrick has been selected for is willingness to share his instructions and unique balloon creations. His balloon talent is brilliant along with educational. I feel it is more than appropriate to have the very 1st Member of the Month be Patrick Van Den from the Netherlands – April’s Member of the Month 2005.

New – Holiday Vests

Holiday vests are a cherished wardrobe to entertainers. A vest provides a quick way to transform into the holiday season with out a lot of modification to the entertainers look. Simply toss on the vest and be festive.

I have just completed an html page showing off all the holiday vests. I’m have the vest make in multiple sizes L, XL, 2Xl and can be found in the mbd2.com store under vests or at this page

Spring is here – Clean up now!

Living in Illinois you learn to look forward to spring, warm weather, fresh green plants and the removal of winters’ rubbish left behind. Entertainers need to take spring cleaning into their closets. Now is the time to replace old equipment, repair used equipment, cleanout the entertainment bag, and organize that closet.

How many of us have open bags of balloons that are tossed in a basket or box that are a year old. We bought them, used some of them, and now we’re going to keep them until their no good. Dispose of them; they served their purpose.Can’t throw them out? Bring them to a balloon jam and used them as practice.

Old equipment no longer used should be sold or discarded to make room for new or improved equipment. Clean, oil or repair old balloon pumps making them ready for the season.

Taking time out to organize your supplies and making sure your equipment is running 100% will insure a smooth entertaining season.

Wash your balloon apron. Removing a years worth of telecom power from the bag will give you a fresh clean look.

Wearing clothing that doesn’t fit, out of date, or worn-out is not good for business. This is the time of year that I look at my wardrobe and remove old shirts, buy new pants, and acquire new ties and vests. As a professional entertainer I want to make sure that I operate at 100%, but also look professional too!

So now is the time to stop, clean, and organize your entertainment closet for the 2005 entertainment season.
