Think Christmas

The end of the year is approaching quickly and we have to start thinking about the holiday. So, if you are considering ordering balloon supplies for a family member -- order now while products are in inventory and shipping time is ample.

To all entertainers, now is the time to check your balloon supplies… Little birdie has told me Qualatex is having a price increase, so you may want to place your orders now.

Don’t forget about your Christmas colors: red, green, violet, black, white, and brown.

Red, white, emerald green candy canes, or red, white and violet make a nice color for a candy cane.

Black and white penguins; may need to stock up on orange or golden rod for feet and beak.

Rudolf uses brown, white, and red for the nose.

Emerald Green wreath, with a violet bow is nice.

These are just a couple of ideas for this holiday season.

The mbd2.com website has visitors from around the world and so are the members of the mbd2.com forum. I have had people post and send emails looking for other entertainers in there country/state; now you can use the search to find twisters located in your area.

Digital Badges

If your were at the mbd2.com balloon jam 3 you would have seen Luke Kareklas a juggler/twister from OH walking around with a digital badge that scrolled saying “Thanks for the balloon jam Dale”. The digital badge was an eye catcher. I saw the potential of this little device and became a distributor.

The digital badge can be programmed with four messages. I used it Tuesday at Harrah’s Casino (message 1) & Bartolini’s restaurant (message 2), with these sayings… (1) Harrah’s Casino, the fun never stops!, (2) Eat Bartolini’s *** tips welcome ***, (3) mbd2.com is the ultimate balloon website, (4) Sorry, this is the last person. Message 4 did help in cutting-off the line for breaks.

I figure it is different, people will have something to read while waiting, and it’s advertising. I can promote the event, which the client will like, promote specials for the restaurant, adding value to my service, or simply advertise my website or telephone number.

The system is programmed through my computer into a “RAT” which is a little hand-held device that looks like a car door opener/starter. The RAT can hold four 118-character message, which can be switch with a push of a button. The badge itself has an on/off switch and can last for about 16 hours before the battery will run out. Batteries are standard calculator batters and are inexpensive.

160B Fashion Assortment now available

I was impressed with the 160B Fashion Assortment by Betallatex. They had a nice feel to the balloon and the colors were excellent for making tulip flowers. I will be offering them as individual bags or a set of four, which will give a nice price discount.

If you have not worked with the 160B balloons, you should try. Making animals out of this balloon is very interesting. What would take two balloons now can be accomplish with one.

Boy, have things changed. When I first started sending out update notices, it was just a couple of line saying “hey, new pictures at...”, but this site has grown bigger, and bigger, and with cooler stuff. As a result, the two-line email has now gone to the ezine format. I have now started archive these messages and will have a link off the update notice form and at the end of the email.
