New Balloon Forum

Yes, mbd2.com is growing! I have implemented a forum for mbd2.com. The
forum has four major topics of discussion. 1)New Entertainment Products,
Books, Electric Media, and Balloon Accessories 2) Entertainer’s Tips
– Feedback 3) mbd2.com Road Trip (future events) and 4) mbd2.com
Balloon Jam 2.
New Entertainment Products is
a forum designed for entertainers to talk about products that they have
developed or are developing. These products will be available at the mbd2.com
store or will be when the product is finished.
Entertainer’s Tips is a
forum designed for you to ask questions or give input about an article
topic, written in the mbd2.com Update Notices.
Mbd2.com Road Trip – This
forum is not open yet, but will be explained in the next couple of weeks.
Mbd2.com Balloon Jam is the forum
to talk about the Chicago balloon jam, who’s attending, where it
is located, and all that good stuff.

If you have been a subscriber to the mbd2.com Update Notices, then you
already know that I don’t just take pictures and upload them to the
site. Then need some type of enhancements. As usual, time is running away.
However, I have been able to finish four of the pictures. Just three more

Entertainers Tip 14

Research the event and surroundings – Being a professional entertainer
we have more responsibilities then just entertaining. The client may have
hired us directly or through an agent and expects us to entertainer the
audiences. However, the client forgets that the entertainer is a representative
of the company and is the first person guests see. If you are working
with a good agent, they will know this and require you to dress, be positioned,
and ready to entertain 10-15 minutes before any guest enters the event.
Nevertheless, the agent forgets that the entertainer is an information
booth, along with being a representative of the sponsoring company. Therefore,
I feel it is up to the entertainer to do research.
Ask the client or agent, what
is the event about? Are the guest local or from out of town? If an emergency
occurs, who do you look for help or contact? If security is needed –
lost child, stolen purse, dangerous or wet surfaces, how do you contact
these people? Theses questions are simple, but will help you understand
the people you are entertaining.
When you get to the event, research
it. What events are going on? Ask the client or agent for a schedule of
the events – what is happening, when and where, if there are any
costs involved. And the most asked question, where are the bathrooms located?
As a performer, were just not an entertainer, we are a representative
of the sponsoring company, respective of the entertainment agency or your
own business, and lastly we are the information center.

Boy, have things changed. When I first started sending out update notices,
it was just a couple of line saying “hey, new pictures at...”,
but this site has grown bigger, and bigger, and with cooler stuff. As
a result, the two-line email has now gone to the ezine format. I have
now started archive these messages and will have a link off the update
notice form and at the end of the email.

Organizing your email

set your email filters to look for the word Balloon and than have it move
this email to a special folder, you will not have to look through all the
junk email for this notice.
