So, do not store them in your oven or microwave, not good! Wait. That is not what we mean by heat. The heat we refer to is when we entertainer outside in 100-degree weather. When you entertain in hot weather, everything has its problems and balloons are no different. I have entertained for 4-6 hours in 100-degree weather and had no problems with under defeated balloon. That is the key, burp your balloons and make them softer. It is a little harder to work with, but it works. Now, for the storage part of the question, do not store your balloon in your car—it gets extremely hot in the car. If you have too, store them in the trunk. When you here people talk about storing balloons, we are really talking about balloon suppliers whose warehouse are not air-conditioned. For the average person, store your balloons at room temperature and in the summer store them in basement or room that does not exceed 80+ degrees. Sunlight can cause breakdown of the latex, so do not store your balloon were they can sit in direct sunlight. Best to store them in a location like a closet. Freezing balloons – Why? I have had balloons by many different manufactures, which have been 1-2 years old, and have had no major problems. Freeze last week’s meal, but not the balloons.
