I apologies if some of you received a garbage test message. I noticed that the new email program that I implemented was not working right. I made some corrections, and not realizing it, the system was using the live database – Oops!

I think everything is working correctly. You should see only your name on the top of the page and the date and time you joined. One problem still exists - Some individual will get double date and time displayed – I’m working on resolving this problem.

I received an email suggesting that I post locations were people can come see me perform. I thought this was a good idea so I have made a calendar showing the days, times, and locations of where I’m performing.

I will be testing a new restaurant the Cracker Barrel in Matteson, IL this coming Sunday from 9-11:00. Cracker Barrel would like to see if they should do this every Sunday. So if you’re in the area, please feel free to stop in and say hi. This will be for two Sundays.

Date & Times – If I was going to secretarial school, one of the first lessons they would teach is to document every telephone call with a date and time. This is common business practice. But, do we do it?

I received a call on my pager, my entertainment telephone number, and I jotted down the usual stuff, name, telephone number – and that’s it.

Latter that day I received another call, did the same think, name and number. On the counter are 3 more scraps of paper that have names and numbers – I’m positive that I called these people, but how old are these names? Then I remember what I read from Jimmy Leo’s Of Clouds and Balloons book (http://www.mbd2.com/BookPreview/bookpreviewindex.htm) on balloon business; document all messages with a date and time! Hey, I should know this from work! Whenever a secretary takes s message there is always a date and time. Boy am I a lousy secretary, and this is for my own business. From now on I document the date and time, after all it only takes a second to right it down.

Update Achieve Notices

Boy, have things changed. When I first started sending out update notices, it was just a couple of line saying “hey, new pictures at...”, but this site is grown bigger, and bigger, with more cooler stuff. As a result, the two-line email has now gone to the ezine format. I have now started archive these messages and will have a link off the update notice form and at the end of the email.
