Bonnie Davis
- Restaurant Twisting (90 Min)

Syllabus - Restaurant Sculptures Syllabus

Good morning ya'll!

I really enjoy restaurant entertaining and line twisting and because of that the designs I will be showing during class can be made while working these types of venues.  In the twisting world, my first love is hats, so you can bet I will have a few hats in the lineup.  However, not everyone will wear a hat, so I will also include some examples of my second love... everything that isn't a hat. ;-)

Tentatively the class outline is as follows: elephant hat, mallard duck hat, super fast eyeball hat, a dog (or two), a mouse, a bird(or 2), a flower(or 2), and my new playable banjo.

Rick Mohr - Creat Hand Puppets (90 Min)

Syllabus - Creating Hand Puppets Syllabus

From the popular classes and the DVD series, comes the new way to make your balloons come alive! In this class you will not only create hand puppet, but you will also make an "airhead" mask with a movable jaw -- The RickJaw! Now you can add puppets to your repertoire. What a simple way to do a show.

You can walk in with a pocketful of balloons, do your show, give the puppet away to the guest of honor, and then, of course, walk out with a check!

Angel Contreras -Balloonz and Toonz- How to Draw on Balloons (60 Min)

Syllabus - How to Draw on a Balloon Syllabus

A kid wants a princess face on their balloon and all you can come up with is two dots an a scribble? Maybe its time to step it up a notch.

Angel Contreras is a cartoonist in the Chicago land area who spends insane amounts of time drawing silly cartoons for audiences. Angel applies his expertise in cartooning to the craft of ballooning by teaching you how to create expressive faces for character balloon sculptures. Make a balloon dog look hungry, happy, sly, goofy or any expression you can imagine.

Learn how to put simple or complex expressions on your balloon sculptures quickly. Examine techniques for drawing on different colored balloons. Angel will show you the parts of the face that contribute to facial expression and how to render them quickly. He will explore hard to draw character details, like Spiderman’s eyes, Batman’s face mask, Superman’s logo, anime eyes, hero faces and more. You don’t have to be an artist, just willing to hold a marker.
