"I've been entertaining Sox fans for over 5-years now and many are regular customers. The smiles on the kids faces as they get a balloon, the fun of being at the ball park as AC/DC's Thunderstruck roars over the speakers while thunderous fireworks echo in the sky kicking off the start of the game is exciting" says Dale.
"It doesn't take long for people to find me," says Dale. They just look for a bunch of kids with balloons and adults laughing at Dale's comedic patter. Dale teases flip-flop wearers, of not being Sox fans; "White Sox fans wear white socks" as he pulls up his black dress pants to show that he has white socks on with a pair of black dress shoes. "The "Anti-sock fans are Cubs fan. They sneak into the park under disguise of being Sox fans," jokes Dale.
Dale has found a common thread between Sox and Cub fans: "There are two things Sox and Cub fans can agree on 1) the Green Bay Packers stink and 2) We dislike people who say they are "Chicago" fans. Pick a team either a Sox or Cubs. We like to dislike each other, but really hate people who cannot pick a team."
The next kid's day is June 26th and Dale will be out twisting balloons for Chicago White Sox fans along with some quick-witted comedy. Look for Dale roaming (100 & 500 level) of the concourse from 11:00-3:00 pm.
