Caution: Balloons are fun
toys, but can be dangerous like all toys...PLEASE make sure small
children do not chew balloons or have access to broken bits. We
would like all our kids to grow healthy and happy. I ask you to be
responsible like professional balloonist. Adult supervision is
recommended.
The first trick to making a balloon animal is to blow up the balloon.
This is hard. You can buy a hand pump or use a football pump to help
blow up the balloons. Do not blow the balloon up all the way... you
only need 1/2 a balloon.
Carefully tie the balloon. When twisting a balloon, always start at
the end with the knot. Do not worry, it will not break if you twist
it, but you must hold on to both ends of the balloon. Otherwise, the
balloon will untwist. The balloon will not stay twisted by itself. You
have to twist the balloon together.
Balloon
Animals - Princess Crown
Step 1--Inflate 3 quarters of the balloon.
Step 2--Start at the beginning with the knot and twist
a 1-inch bubble.
Make sure you hang on to both ends of balloon, otherwise it will
untwist. Twist it around 2 or 3 times. Do not worry; it will not
break. Why didn't it break? There is space at the end of the balloon
for the extra air. That is why we only blow the balloon up half way.
Step 3--Take this 1-inch bubble and make a pinch
twist.
Step 4--Make a 8 inch bubble and twist this into the
newly made pinch twist. Look at the picture. This will be the
largest bubble or arch on the crown.

Step 5--Twist a 4 to 5-inch long bubble, followed by
a 1-inch bubble.
If
yours looks like this very good; if not, try it again practice makes
perfect.
Step 6--This 1-inch bubble will become a pinch twist.
Then make another 1-inch bubble and pinch twist this bubble.
Step 7--Make a 6-inch bubble and twist this bubble into
the double pinch twist. This will make the second arch of the crown.

Step 8--Inflate a second balloon three quarters of
the way. Make an 1-inch pinch twist at the beginning.

Step 9--Twist the 1-inch pinch twist into the largest
arch on the first balloon.
Steps
11 & 12 are a repeating steps of 5-9
Step 11--Make a 4 to 5-inch bubble followed by a 1-inch
pinch twist.
Step 12--Make a second 1-inch pinch twist, followed by a
6-inch bubble that is twisted back into the double pinch twist. This
will form the left arch of the princess crown.
Step 13--Measure the head and twist the remaining
balloons together to form a strap. Remove an excess balloon
Step 14--The jewels of the crown are just broken
balloons about 1 to 3-inches in sizes. Using scraps or a new balloon
inflate and wrap the balloons in between the arches.
Congratulations,
you just made you first Princess Crown.
